Jonathan Buchbinder has been a member of the Treasury Management Association of Chicago® since May, 1991.  Since that time, Jonathan has been elected twice to the office of Vice President and also to the office of Secretary.  Jonathan has chaired various association committees, including the Education, Program, Membership, and Policy, and he currently Co-chairs the Annual Conference Committee, which coordinates the association’s “Windy City Summit®” treasury management conference.  Jonathan was also a member of Scholarship committee for three years.

Professionally, Jonathan is currently Treasurer of Guggenheim Structured Product Management, a subsidiary of Guggenheim Partners, LLC, a medium sized financial services firm.  Previously, Jonathan was Assistant Treasurer at Heidrick & Struggles International, a publicly traded multinational executive recruiting firm.  Among other positions Jonathan has held are as Manager of Treasury Operations at the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation, the central clearinghouse of the Chicago Board of Trade®, and Manager of Finance at Topco Associates, Inc., a multi-billion dollar food distribution cooperative. 

Over the years, Jonathan’s areas of responsibility have included domestic and international treasury management, both defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plan administration, and property, general liability, and professional liability insurance administration.  Jonathan has been named to a list of the top treasury professionals in the Chicago area.

Jonathan holds both Masters and Bachelors degrees in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He lives in Chicago and is active in various charitable organizations.  In addition, he is an avid viewer of independent films and a season ticket holder to Theater on the Lake.
