Treasury Management Themes for the New Decade
 
Session Summary:  Matthew Terhune of Morgan Stanley will lead a Panel of corporate practioners on a discussion of everything from the market, rates, credit, investment options, ESG and product development as well as technology and portal enhancements.

SPEAKERS

Matthew Terhune, Executive Director with Morgan Stanley Investment Management
Matt is a member of the Institutional Liquidity team focusing on providing short-term fixed income strategies to institutional clients. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 and has 13 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Matt was a money market sales associate at Standard Chartered Bank. Matthew received a B.S. in engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He holds his Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Brian Buck,  Executive Director with Morgan Stanley Investment Management
Brian is a Product Specialist for Morgan Stanley’s Global Liquidity team. He is responsible for the strategy, development, delivery and marketing of short-term investment management products including money market funds, ultra-short bond funds, and separately managed accounts. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2008 and has nine years of industry experience. Brian received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
 
Brooke McCullick, Senior Treasury Analyst with Telephone and Data Systems, Inc
Brooke is a Senior Treasury Analyst at Telephone and Data Systems and has been with the company 12 years.  She is an experienced Treasury professional and has worked on many cross-functional teams throughout the Fortune 1000 organization.  This has allowed her to expand her knowledge outside of Treasury into a lot of other areas throughout company.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin -Madison and her MBA from Edgewood College.

Tim Kolenda, Regional Treasurer for North America of AbbVie Inc
Tim covers the operations in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and HQ companies. In this capacity, he is responsible for the company’s cash management, short term investments, CP issuances and global treasury systems. Tim previously worked in global cash management and foreign exchange management roles in the corporate treasury groups at Motorola Mobility and Dell Inc. He is a Certified Treasury Professional (AFP) and holds a Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM) from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (London). Tim has published two articles: “Japan’s Develop-for-import Policy” in RESOURCES POLICY and “Currency Options for Strategic Corporate Hedging” in TREASURY MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL. He earned degrees in BS, MS and MBA at The University of Texas at Austin.

Sam McLaughlin, Manager Treasury Capital Markets for Baxter
Sam currently manages Treasury Capital Markets and investment strategy at Baxter.   Prior to this he was a buy side fixed income trader at PPM America, as well as in various Treasury management roles at Mars/Wrigley and Baxalta. Sam holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of business, a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is a CFA charter holder and CPA in the State of Illinois.
