Robert “Bobby” Fitzgerald, CTP, Treasury Manager, The Boler Company

Bobby has spent seven years working in various treasury capacities within the banking and financial services industries before moving into his role as a Treasury Manager for The Boler Company.  The Boler Company, headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, is a family owned holding company for a global manufacturer of commercial vehicle parts and accessories.  Bobby, originally from Des Plaines, Illinois, is currently serving on TMAC’s Board of Directors as the Program Co-Chair.

Tell us about your role at The Boler Company and what a given workday may look like for you?

My role within the company relates to the implementation of financially related Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Payment Automation systems.  Also, I work on the development of complex and tax-friendly financial transaction solutions for large-scale projects, negotiation and renewal of global credit facilities, and creation of interactive and dynamic financial models used in making executive level financial decisions.

What is your educational background?

I graduated from Lewis University with a double major in Aviation Flight & Business Administration.  Later, I obtained a Master of Business Administration with a double concentration in Finance and Real Estate Development from Roosevelt University.

How did you find TMAC and why did you join?

I was introduced to TMAC through a few of my coworkers after starting my new job at The Boler Company.  I had attended a few Windy City Summits and felt like the educational content at the conferences were very informative, so I decided to join. The relationships I have developed with other like-minded treasury professionals has been a great takeaway of being a member.

What bit of advice would you give new TMAC members?

If I were to give a bit of advice to new/potential members of TMAC, it would be to get involved because there is a lot that you can learn from working with all the members.

Lastly, what do you like to do in your spare time?

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my one-year old son and I regularly participate in a billiards league.  I also like to travel to foreign countries whenever I can take a vacation.
